The format of the following applicators may be used with the following test methods :
BS3900 D5 / ISO 2813, ASTM D3258, D3265, D823.
Bird-type Applicators ①
Used in conjunction with paper, hiding power charts, plate glass or other smooth flat surface. Simple, accurate
production or quality control tools which require no adjustment. Available 50 and 75 mm film widths.

Bar Applicators ②
Designed for use with 100 mm wide test panels. The removeable wide allow accurate and reproducible draw down for
repetitive testing. For the preparation of accurately coated test panels. Applied coating 90 mm wide.

4-Sided Applicator ③
The advantage of combining ease of use with 4 gap size in one unit. For the best results it should only be used
on solid substrate which are smooth. Availalbe in two film width as standard : 60 mm, 80 mm

Mult Film Applicator ④
This will draw down films of up to 8 different thicknesses : 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200 ㎛ on one applicator.
Place the sample in the centre and draw down in the usual manner. Film width is 76mm.

Wire Bar Coaters, Variable Gap Applicators ⑤
Ideal for the application of inks and coatings onto flexible materials such as paper, card, textiles, leather etc.
The coating thickness applied in controlled by the area of the groove between the coils of wire.
180 mm film Width is suitable for use with Automatic Film Applicator “Model 1137”.
